Take courage under the heat, my friend.
Flowers are not made in the shade. – Rudyard Kipling
The weather is unbelievably hot. We are informed that this is the hottest ever.
Colleagues and family are falling ill. Thank God for the intermittent rain. God cheers us up with the flowers in full bloom. My bougainvillea is doing well. All my adenium (desert rose), even those not blooming for a year, suddenly spring up with their delicate blooms.
Some women feel the need to act like they’re never scared, needy or hurt; like they’re as hardened as a man. I think that’s dishonest. It’s ok to feel delicate sometimes. Real beauty is in the fragility of your petals. A rose that never wilts isn’t a rose at all.

A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars. – Victor Hugo
Lord, make me now as happy as the flowers in the field. – Eileen
