We are here in Tokyo again. Every year we visit Japan. In Tokyo we stay at the Hotel Sunroute Plaza at Shinjuku. We are non adventurous and staying in the same location reduces uncertainties and allows us to explore.
This morning after taking the airport limousine bus. We dropped our bags and head for Yodobashi, to buy a camera at Mag Camera. We had a Japanese-Italian spaghetti. Combination appealing to the Asian taste bud.
Then we took a nap and off again to Daikanyama T-site. This was recommended by a friend. I’m so glad I can. If you find Tokyo intimidating with lots of tall buildings, Daikanyama has a quaint village feel with restored buildings not taller than 2 storeys. Definitely have a coffee and chill out at Tsutaya Books.
My friend LBF described it as a place where Harajuku girls hang out after they get married. Whatever that means. We came on a Monday 4pm and there was a nice crowd.
Getting there: Alight at the Daikanyama station. Exit left. Walk for 4 mins and turn left.
