Osaka boasts two long underground shopping malls – Crysta Nagaburi (near Shinsaibashi station)

Personally I prefer Daimor for the selection of bakeries.

Die gutte at basement of Diamor walkway. Cakes and bread are so good. This young lady spread a layer of sugar and caramelised it with a blow torch so expertly. I only ate the cheese cake several hours later and the caramelised sugar was still bitter sweet and complemented the cheese cake.

Famous night street food market Dotombori near Namba station next to the canal river walk. Near the ebisu entrance of the Shinsaibashi covered walkway mall. Best to go at night to experience the neon lights.

Don’t expect Taiwanese style street food night market where you buy some snacks and eat as you walk. It’s not done here. People don’t walk and eat at the same time.
