Day 3 Osaka gourmet town continued

image

Osaka Castle. The original one was burnt down. We enjoyed the walk around the palace grounds and there are lots of push carts selling street snacks. Japanese walking their dogs, jogging.
Access via Morinomiya station. Another short walk to about 15 mins.

An accidental find in Osaka. A really good yakitori place for lunch.

They were very kind to serve us yakitori for lunch even though it was on the dinner menu. This little restaurant has a neat way of keeping guests shoes. The wooden key has slots like teeth of comb.

The chicken fat of the yakitori simply melts in your mouth together with bbq spring onion. Beef liver was still tender in the centre. But I opted out of the chicken wish bone yakitori which is a local delicacy.
