This blog post is dedicated to the Nepenthes Truncata entry which showcases the Borneo plants. Love it, but not enough orchids to warrant any win at the World Orchid Conference. The theme afterall, is orchids. I suppose they get to showcase and get publicity for the nepenthes, king of hearts.
I’ve a few nepenthes – or commonly known as Pitcher plant at home. Once I had one which was 1.6m tall, hanging from the trellis. For some strange reason, it reminded me of a Venetian art glass scuplture chandelier, hanging from a trellis. Imagine, during the dry season I had to fill each pitcher pot with water, one by one. It was so time consuming that eventually we trimmed it down to size because the cups were drying up.
